SATA Standard SATA AHCI Controller in Windows 10

I have the Maximus V Formual which has the Intel Z77 chipset. I just did a clean install of Windows 10 64Bit.

Sadly I did NOT find much drivers on Asus website, in particular the SATA drivers for the Intel SATA Controller. In device manager I have listed under IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers category the following 3 entries: Standard SATA AHCI Controller.

Without the proper driver, performance and functionality is limited, correct?

Any suggestions where I can download the Intel SATA Driver for Windows 10?

I see you have an SSD.
Did you install Windows in AHCI mode as the correct controller drivers will not install.
If this is the case then a registry change will be required and I can guide you with that necessary change.

Please report back with this info first.

The Intel sata driver installs with the chipset driver.

Yea, I did install in AHCI mode. But in Device manager only SATA Standard SATA AHCI Controller listed. Should it not list some type of Intel entry?

I really appreciate your help! When I first posted a few days back in device manager I had listed under the IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers heading the following 3 entries: Standard SATA AHCI Controller.

I went to ASMEDIA website and downloaded their latest SATA Drivers and now under the Storage Controllers heading I have the following 3 entries: two Asmedia 106x SATA Controllers and one Microsoft Storage Spaces Controller.
Now under the IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers heading I only have ONE entry instead of the original three: Standard SATA AHCI Controller.

I had opened a support ticked with ASUS tech support and this is the response I received:

Thank you for your patience. I have received reply from the concerned team. We request you to download the Intel SATA drivers directly from the Intel website.

Which file to choose

Download the driver (STOR_Win7_8_8.1_12.9.0.1001.exe) and one of the following F6 Driver Diskettes (depending on your operating system):
